Day 1 — Short Road Trip to Dundas

10:35 a.m.  —  The car is gassed up, the blue box put away, the budgie ensconced in the upstairs neighbour’s house, and I’m under way.  Blue skies above and an open road ahead!

12:50 p.m. — Stopped at an Enroute for washroom and lunch.  Have a cooler with me this trip so I’ve got apple slices, cauliflower, peanut butter and cheese on a bun and a tiny Coke.  Well, back on the road.

3:20 p.m. — Arrived in Ajax and stretched my legs.  Cooled down a bit in the WalMart store here.  My new stainless steel water bottle has kept my water cold all day.  It will be great in Colorado where I will need to keep hydrated!

4:50 p.m. — At Dad’s safe and sound.  The air conditioning is sure welcome.  Supper, a trip out to pick up some plasticine for one of my little nieces and added some gas to my tank, and now we’re settled in for the evening — Dad & I and the tube.

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
