Almost There!

Went through 4 states today which surprised me a bit.  I was in West Virginia for about 10 minutes between Ohio and Pennsylvania.  The day started with a huge rainstorm as I left a really nice Super 8 in Greenfield, a bit east of Indianapolis.  After about 10 min., the rain became light and intermittent.  I got to Pittsburgh before 3 but then I changed my plans.  I had to after I saw the room I had booked. These are the last two nights in motels and I didn’t want to spend them in a tiny dive.  I couldn’t even pull the cart with the luggage all the way into the room.  So I went to a MacDonalds to use their free Wi-Fi and found a Holiday Inn.  It was a bit more expensive but I took it for just one night and after my tour of Fallingwater tomorrow, I’m heading north to what looks like a lovely and inexpensive Holiday House in the Alleghany Mountains close to the border with New York State.  So I won’t be too long a drive on Saturday to get back to Dundas, Ontario.

I picked up my Remington bust of “The Cheyenne” today at the UPS store and I’ve packaged up some souvenirs to mail to the great nieces and nephews to bring my purchases carrying back to Canada under the limit.  So, mail the parcels, go to Mill Run, Pa, take the tour of Fallingwater, head to Bradford, Pa., drive to Dad’s!  Road trip is almost done.  Ms. M. on the road in Pennsylvania!

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
