Judy Garland

I am a huge Judy Garland fan.  I think she had an incredible talent and was abused dreadfully as a child by people who should have been looking out for her interests, resulting in a drug dependency she was never completely able to shake.  Nothing new there.  I spent quite a bit of time on the long weekend watching movies, clips from concerts, biographies about her or movies starring her on YouTube.  Some I had seen before, even years ago; some I had not.  Something about her story draws me and her performances are spellbinding.  Here’s the funny part:  I’ve never owned even one of her albums.  That will change today.  I’ve ordered an album from Amazon that will arrive here at Dad’s today.  So it will be added to my car collection for the road!

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
