Three weeks from tonight I’ll be at my first stop on my road trip to Colorado. Lots of things to do around the house before heading out: kitchen floor, chess sets to finish, the tech room to rearrange, tidy, dust, and finish the quarter round. Errands to run to get ready to go: still need a headlamp, friends to visit, shots to get, sleeping bags to get out, wide-brimmed hat to get, roaming package for phone(?), gather up art tools to take along, check everything at least one more time.
I think the tracking problem on the Cavalier is finally fixed. It was a part on the engine that relayed messages to the transmission. It has been replaced and now the car shifts smoothly like never before, especially from first to second. Only time will tell but I feel good about this.
My MacBookPro is apparently toast. Never had a Mac before that couldn’t be fixed. It went to sleep Saturday night and won’t wake up. Now I have to take out the hard drive in order to retrieve the data from it. That will be for next week. Using an older MacBook that is a bit slow but works fine. Things are getting back to normal computer-wise.
Have been in contact with another “digger” going to Colorado from Canada. Her first dig also and very excited. She’s checking out Easter Island as well so it’s just possible I might know someone on that dig by the time I get there. I still can’t believe I’m going!!
20 days to getting on the road!
