Quick Trip

While storms were threatening in Ottawa this morning, I slipped away in my car to Ogdensburg, N.Y. where the skies were partly cloudy and the temperature was high but the air not stuffy.  I was able to pick up my parcel at the UPS store, do some shopping in the local WalMart (where things are much different than at home), and still have time to stop in a park where they were having a Bar-B-Q fundraiser for the nearby army base. They had a great band, a kind of market with crafts and flowers, and many old cars displayed.  Afterwards, I had a lovely lunch at the Phoenix on the Bay restaurant before getting back on the road.

About mysm2000

Having taught elementary school for more than 25 years and been involved in many amazing technology and curriculum projects, I find I've developed a myriad of interests based on literature I've read and music I've heard. I've followed The Wright Three to Chicago, Ansel Adams to Colorado, The Kon Tiki Expedition to Easter Island, Simon & Garfunkel lyrics to New York City, Frank Lloyd Wright to Fallingwater, Pennsylvania, and have only just begun.
