Because I wear contact lenses, I always carry an extra pair with me when I travel. Plus, I carry a pair of bifocals to read in bed at night or in case I run out of lenses. With going on a longer trip than I ever have before (5 – 5 1/2 weeks), I thought I’d better go further. After I had my annual eye exam today, I ordered a new pair of prescription sun glasses so that if I lose or tear lenses and have to work outside on the dig or drive on a sunny day, I’ll have sunglasses that will enable me to see clearly no matter what. They should be ready in 1 – 2 weeks and they’re in very nice, inexpensive frames. When I get them, I’ll post a picture. I’ll want to take my prescription along as well, just in case. I’m not sure why I never thought to do this before. I think it’s an important step to take before hitting the road.
